Characteristics are described with a degree of granularity intended for die identification more so than for die classification. A characteristic may not span the entire die progression. Thus, not all characteristics may be present in any one coin.
Doubled 882 with left 8 on right outside of both loops and slightly at lower of upper loop. Right 8 doubled at top and top right of lower loop, and 2 at top right. 1 very slightly doubled below upper crossbar.
Thick polish line in front of the D-void in the curls.
Some minor doubling in the LIBERTY with majority of polish lines at the top of the letters.
Dense polish lines between the cotton bolls. Two heavy lines to the right of the right cotton boll. Thick line thru the lower stems.
Polish marks and die chips at the bottom of the ear opening.
