Obverse: III2-1
  • Date set at the Normal position.
  • Raised metal with diagonal spike up to left with curved outline on left inside of upper loop of 6. Possibly re-punched 6 lower loop up high.
  • Dense polish lines in/around the cotton bolls.
  • Distinct polish lines in the L-I-B of LIBERTY.
  • Die crack from lower left hair vee into the top of the left 8. A few small breaks.
  • Die crack between the bottom of the 1 and the left 8.
  • Die crack from the bottom lower left of 1 into the denticles.
  • Die crack from right side of LS1 to field under bust point.
  • Die crack from denticles at LS3 into LS4-LS7, E-P-L, terminating at the L.
  • Die crack from denticle into/thru U. Tangent crack from U into the LIBERTY banner and across the bottom of the wheat kernals.
  • Die crack thru the top of R-I-B into the denticles.
  • Die crack from the M of UNUM into/across the cap/cap fold.
  • Die crack from RS3-RS6.
  • Clash line at Liberty's neck. No letter transfer noted.
  • Left wreath clash at the cap vee.
  • Heavy polish lines in the lower hair and D-void.
  • Distinct polish marks at the upper inside of ear.
  • Two heavy horizontal polish marks between the wheat clusters below the I in PLURIBUS.
Reverse: C3a
  • Dense polish lines in/around the wreath bow, olive branch leaf cluster, lower tail feathers, scribble zone, leg voids and wing/neck gap.
  • Thread-like impressions on outer left wing feathers #5 & #6 from the bottom.
  • Some doubling on right and left wreath leaves.
  • WEak die crack from LW4-LW5 into the field between the E and D.
  • Weak die crack on left side of left star.
  • Die crack across UNITED into the eagles's right wing tip. Break Breaks to the right of E and D.
  • Die crack from the right wing tip into the denticles above the ST of STATES.
  • Die crack thru tops of STATES with die break at top left of left S and die chip at top right of right T.
  • Die crack thru OF, left wing tip, and AMERIC with tangent crack into the denticles from the first A.
  • Die crack from the left side of right stat into/below the R of DOLLAR.
  • Clash line at the top of the right wing into the right leg of the n of In. No letter transfer to obverse noted.
