Reverse: Attributes: Repunched mint mark. Markers: Gouges along upper leaves of fifth left wreath cluster. Gouge across 3rd from the top wing feather of left wing. A pair of horizontal scratches at base of the 9th from the top left wing feather. Double clashed cap V. |
Comments: The 8724 coin is a double clashed stage of VAM-4(A). A clashed n and M may have survived being polished away by a repair window. Beveling of the field at the cap v, cap top, and nose indicates die repair. |
