1881-S VNC-22 Base: Comparisons of Die Stages and States.
Characteristics are described with a degree of granularity intended for die identification more so than for die classification. A characteristic may not span the entire die progression. Thus, not all characteristics may be present in any one coin. |

I placed
SanFran1881RMG061316 at the top because the left chip in the first 8 appears to be smaller. And because the denticles appear to be more defined. If I am correct, the
SanFran1881RMG061316 coin was minted before the
SanFran1881RMG070216 coin.

I'll need your help to pull this off, we need a good layout and it may be 3 coins. AND off to LVA with BOTH our Names this time. You have done a ton again. This one and the V-60, you saw right away BOTH needed extra Looks.

Thanks - Made my day, that chip is VALID IMO.

Notice that the chip appears larger for 070216. Further suggesting that I may be right on the progression order.

Yes, it is bigger. Going to check the 66 for size
--
RMG1883CC - 06 Jul 2016
The 66 is NOW More important !
Chips on 8's are smaller and arrow shaft chip is small

66? Do I need to create another menu item?

We should be able to show what we need to with these 3 coins.
WE are going to get at least a revision.
